A Day In The Life Of A Dog Here At Doggy Dorchester.During their stay at Doggy Dorchester, dogs are provided with a variety of activities to keep them entertained and engaged. Some of the activities include:




Timetable:


8am: Let out for toilet

Kennels cleaned

Breakfast prepared

All have breakfast together

let out again for toilet and some time in the field


9am: Open

Mummies and daddies arrive to drop off / collect dogs


10am-4pm:

Playtime

Enrichment toys

puzzles

Playtime on the agility course or run round field with staff


4pm:

Feeding time

Kennels Cleaned again

Toilet, walk round filed


5pm:

Nap

Evening walk.


Resting period

Soothing music and relaxation


9-10pm

Bedtime



1. Playtime: Dogs have dedicated playtime sessions where some of them can socialise with other dogs and enjoy interactive play.

2. Enrichment toys: Dogs are given toys that stimulate their minds and provide mental enrichment.

3. Puzzles: Dogs can engage in puzzle-solving activities that challenge their problem-solving skills.

4. Agility course: Dogs have the opportunity to navigate through our agility course, which helps improve their physical coordination and provides a fun exercise outlet.

5. Field time: Dogs are let out into a field where they can run around, play, and explore.

6. Group play: Friendly dogs are grouped together for supervised group play, allowing them to interact and socialise with other dogs.

7. Resting period: Dogs have designated resting periods where they can relax and recharge.

8. Evening walk: Dogs are taken for a walk in the evening to provide exercise and mental stimulation.

9. Soothing music and relaxation: Dogs have a period of relaxation where soothing music is played to create a calm and peaceful environment.




Our activities are designed to cater to the physical, mental, and social needs of dogs, ensuring they have a fulfilling and enjoyable stay at Doggy Dorchester.

During their stay at Doggy Dorchester, dogs are provided with a variety of activities to keep them entertained and engaged.


At various points throughout the day:


  • We have our very own dog behavourist that will work with your dog

  • Friendly dogs go into groups for group play

  • The Large Breeds such as XL Bullies have their playtime when all other dogs are inside. Only our senior staff, who have extensive experience and training in handling large breeds, will be responsible for their care and supervision .

  • Pampering and grooming services are available by appointment (book in advance)
